self help books self esteem
Can you recommend any self help books for deal with low self esteem?

Amy and Thomas Harris wrote at least two books with ‘OK’ in the title – first came ‘I’m OK – You’re OK’ and then ‘Staying OK’ and there may have been more – they’re easily the best books on psychology for the lay person, with a lot of emphasis on how to feel good about yourself (for genuine reasons) and how to relate well to other people. I’d recommend that anyone start there.

You might then move to Margaret Frings Keyes’s ‘Emotions and the Enneagram,’ which goes in deeper and in many ways is more profound, but I’d start with the OK books because they’re very easy to understand (without over-simplifying or talking down to the reader) and very, very practical.

Hope that helps.
