Network Marketing Prospecting – Do Mlm Products Make A Difference?
In this article we look at multi level marketing prospecting and examine the part that top MLM products can make in developing a successful business. In this regard, there are two of schools of thought. Those that teach attraction marketing and branding yourself and those with a more product-centric tactic. Also, the eternal issue is whether to focus your marketing labors with products or your business opportunity. Which is correct?
Determining the best balance for your business will help you to most successfully and more quickly enter the “winner’s circle” in your network marketing or direct sales home business venture. Surely branding yourself vs. the MLM products or business is an important factor. In sales, we all know that people buy from people and that marketing is “king.” How many companies have stayed on top of their industry with commonplace direct sales products? Truly, successful advertising campaigns can “tip the scale.”
But doesn’t having the best products make a difference? Yes. First of all, if you’re knowingly unloading mediocre direct sales or MLM products on your marketplace it will be hard to remain in harmony with your own principles. Not only that, but your customers may find out, making referrals more difficult to come by. Thus, conventional “wisdom” that you can, with proper technique, sell ice cubes to an eskimo, may be only temporarily true.
Sooner or later, a business pushing mediocre products will run out of luck. But is it true that there are many network marketing “millionaires” peddling “ordinary” MLM opportunities and products? How many times have you seen someone “sold” on an opportuity based on earnings of someone already “at the top,” without much consideration of the products at all. It may be prudent to look at other statistics, such as average earnings in a company, and more time taken researching independent product quality information.
The importance of attraction marketing can’t be overstated, but is most effective when combined with genuinely excellent products and company leadership. Of course your own individual “story” will be your most effective sales tool. How would you describe your own personal benefits from your company’s products? Lacking your own “personal” success story, your prospects will intuitively understand that you’re “selling” them, e.g., using slick sales “techniques,” reacting entirely at a subconcious level. If new to your business, consider “borrowing” from the best results achieved by your mentors/leaders.
Many new distributors think they need to learn all the features and ingredients of their company’s products/services. The most effective sales are based on results, however. When your direct sales or MLM products and services fill the gap for someone and provide not only what they need, but what the prospect wants…you have a sale. Most usually and for best results MLM network marketing prospecting is achieved when based on your own personal results. How did your company’s products make a difference for you? This is the best way to connect with your prospects.
But attraction marketing is also vitally needed in order to get your “success story” in front of as many people as possible. Making yourself the “authority” figure through attraction marketing will achieve this result. This is how all top network marketers have achieved success. Most have done it through conventional means in “spreading” the word, and have “paid their dues.” Now, new automation tools available online can produce the same results in much shorter and compressed time spans. “Overnight” success stories are becoming increasingly routine.
So what is the bottom line? Of highest importance is develoopment of your own success story with your company products and/or compensation plan. That may sound simple, but at the same time take awhile for many people. Disovering the correct combination will “unlock” much wealth for you, if you first determine the best MLM network marketing, affiliate or direct sales product for your own needs. Only then will you be able to “tell your own story” using attraction marketing with both Internet marketing and with your own “real world” contacts with utmost authority.
