How They Get Paid

Club promoters are typically hired on by contract through their vendors. Depending on how they draw up the contract, they can be paid numerous of ways. For example, a club promoter can get paid per person that they bring to the club for that night. So if they agree to pay out $50 per person and the club promoter brings 100 people, that’s $500 for one night!

However, the average club promoter also gets paid a percentage on the liquor sales, the entry fee, or other vendor sales. But the most common arrangement for a vendor and a newly formed promoter is for the promoter to earn all the admission fees, while the venue earns all of the food and drink revenue.

Ways To Promote

The typical marketing method that most promoters use are fliers and posters that they hand out or post anywhere they can in town. But as technology has advanced and more people are moving to social networks, club promoters are finding ways to spread the word through MySpace, Facebook and other social sites.

Annual Salary

The average salary of a club promoter is around six figures a year. This may sound like good money, but it takes hard work and dedication to succeed. But then again, is partying on the weekends really work?

If you’re new to club promoting, then it’s best to start out with a promotion company until you feel that you can go out on your own. This method is not required but it is recommended as getting training from an experienced promoter will help you understand how it all works.
